The Anderson Municipal Airport (AID) is a General Aviation airport owned and operated by the City of Anderson, conveniently situated near I-69 in Madison County, just northeast of Indianapolis. Whether you are learning how to fly, have an aircraft based on the airport, or are just planning a quick fuel stop, everyone is always welcome at the Anderson Municipal Airport. The Anderson Municipal Airport provides an air traffic control tower, state-of-the-art facilities, passenger and cargo terminal, and two large runways. The airport offers one of the lowest hangar rental costs in the region and owns and operates the adjacent Aero Industrial Park. Anderson Municipal is not only a great airport for pilots, but it also a great opportunity for business. Come see all we have to offer. The airport covers 619 acres (251 ha) at an elevation of 919 feet (280 m). It has two asphalt runways: 12/30 is 5,400 by 100 feet (1,646 x 30 m)

In 2009 the airport had 16,631 aircraft operations, average 45 per day: 93% general aviation, 6% air taxi, and 1% military. 78 aircraft were then based at the airport: 89% single-engine, 6% multi-engine, 3% ultralight, 1% helicopter, and 1% glider.
